Committee Undesirable Behaviour

Students on campus Erasmus University Rotterdam

Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) believes it is very important that staff and students can function in a pleasant and stimulating work and study atmosphere. Nevertheless, it can happen that an employee or a student does not feel treated with sufficient respect within EUR. Sometimes this involves sexual harassment, other times bullying or discrimination, sometimes also physical aggression.

A formal complaint can be handled by the administrator of the organizational unit where the complainant works or studies or by the Undesirable Behavior Committee established by the Executive Board. The complainant can express a preference for treatment. The Executive Board ultimately decides on the method of handling, but will in principle honor the complainant's preference.

Confidential counsellors (www.eur.nl/vp)

The confidential counsellors may guide you in choosing how you want to submit a complaint. If desired, they can assist you during the handling of a formal complaint, filing a police report, calling in a legal assistance provider or an interpreter.
