About Erasmus
Rotterdam-born Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus (1466 or 1467) was a philosopher, theologian and humanist. He had a great influence on the cultural and intellectual climate with his books between the Middle Ages and Renaissance. He died in Basel in 1536. Erasmus was a world citizen. His adage 'The whole world is your homeland', is still the motto of our graduates.
