The Education Lab is the beating heart of the Community for Learning & Innovation. It’s located on the ground floor of the Polak Building and has a state-of-the-art studio for online education. The lab is the meeting spot for both lecturers and students as well as support staff who wish to collaborate in educational innovation. Workshops and inspirational sessions are organized frequently.
How to use the lab & studio?
The lab contains various spaces that can be used for small inspiration sessions and didactic training. There’s an event platform that can be used for activities up to 30 people. The facilities of the lab are available for lecturers, support staff and students that are working on innovating education.

As a students you can share your ideas about educational innovation with Students-for-Students (S4S). S4S gives (financial) support to various student projects. These project can make use of the lab for their events and inspiration sessions between 9.00h and 17.00h. Read more about how you can get support or join an existing project on their website!
Please note that the lab can't be used as a study or flexible working space. The rooms need to be reserved in order to be used.
The event room contains a large staircase that's able to seat up to 30 people. This room is equipped with a beamer, a screen (HDMI connection) and two microphone connections.
The training room is a sound-proof room that facilitates 10 people. The room is equipped with a flipped screen that can connect to your laptop (HDMI and wireless to windows laptops).
The lab contains three inspiration rooms, where up to eight people can have informal sessions. All three rooms are equipped with flip screens that can connect to your laptop (HDMI and wireless to windows laptops).
Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.00
Use of the lab or studio outside of the regular opening hours is possible. Ask for the possibilities via firstname.lastname@example.org.
The studio-area consists of a large recording studio and two smaller DIY-booths. There's also a make-up room, an editing room, and a directing room. The studio can be used by lecturers, support staff and students that are working on innovating education, but is also available for other projects.

The large recording studio can be used for recording with and without an audience. For example the recording of knowledge clips, the production of MOOCS, the recording of small-scale talk shows with the possibility of a live connection, and hosting podcasts.
The studio-area contains two DIY-booths meant for autonomous recording. Just bring your script and your PowerPoint and you're ready to go.
