Wrokko for bi-cultural youths

Erasmus Alumni Chain: Wrokko

"Do you have wrokko?" Anass Meziane asked Gentle, when he found him playing the piano in Rotterdam Centraal station. It meant "do you have a job?". "No", replied Gentle. He had applied for a lot of jobs, and left his resume at several companies – but nobody ever called back.

Erasmus Alumni Chain: Wrokko

Anass wanted to help Gentle out. He shared a video of him playing the piano on LinkedIn. The video got over half a million views and created lots of new opportunities for Gentle. Speaking with some friends, Anaas wondered: "How can we scale this up and do the same for more youths?"

That's how Wrokko was founded. The company's mission is to unleash the power of bi-cultural youths in the Netherlands. Talented students and young professionals can get training to further develop their skills, both personally and professionally. They are supported on their (first) steps into the labor market and are connected to employers.

Curious about the results? View the video for Anass' story and personal experiences from two young professionals who have been trained by Wrokko.
