What researchers should consider

If you have a publication due, please consider the following:

  • Stage of publication
    • Early stage submissions: There should be no problem.
    • Under review/revision: Delay to prevent starting the production process this year.
    • Advanced stage/production: See the open access considerations below.
  • Open access type
    • Hybrid journals: Green open access is an option. Upload the VoR on PURE and make it openly accessible after a six-month embargo. Note that immediate open access is required if funded by NWO, Horizon Europe, or ZonMW. Check whether funding can be used to pay for the Article Processing Charge (APC) or contact the Open Access team at EUR to explore further options.
    • Gold journals: Check whether your funder or department can cover the APC. If not, contact the Open Access team at EUR for guidance.

APC cost indications for Taylor & Francis journals can be found here.
