On Friday June 21, NWO is organizing Bessensap 2019 in collaboration with VWN Bessensap 2019. Around 350 journalists, press officers and researchers will meet in the Rode Hoed in Amsterdam to network and exchange knowledge in the field of science communication. It is the opportunity for researchers to bring their socially relevant and newsworthy research to the attention of science journalists. You can register up to and including 19 April.
Researchers of all levels can sign up for giving a presentation. Even researchers who are not funded by NWO. The presentation must have a current, newsworthy and media-oriented approach. For example, think of a recent or soon to be expected result, surprising insights or a new research direction. It must not have an embargo.
From the submissions, the most media-friendly / newsworthy studies are selected for giving a 15-minute presentation. You can register up to and including 19 April via https://www.nwo.nl/en/news-and-events/events/bessensap/register+your+research+presentation.
