Erasmus Institute for Philosophy and Technology

How should philosophy systematically respond to the technological acceleration and planetarization in the 21st century?

The Erasmus Institute for Philosophy and Technology was founded in 2025 to address this challenge. The institute structures its research around four central themes: 1) Contemporary Technological Thought (logos),  2) Computation and Automation (episteme), 3) Art and Technology (poiesis ), and 4) Technology and Planetarization (kosmos). The institute works on developing a comprehensive, coherent, and relevant diagnostic of the present by providing spaces for dialogues and collaborations between philosophers, engineers, scientists, and artists.
