Have you been considering to double your degree, but haven't you quite figured out how? Why? Or in what discipline? If so, visit this third information event on the Bachelor in Philosophy of a Specific Discipline!

The facts

  • Two bachelor degrees in four years: ambitious students can speed up and finish within three years.
  • 90 European credits in Philosophy: you will get the other 90 EC by taking courses at your complementary study.
  • Highly flexible programme: most philosophy lectures are during the evening and we do not work with prerequisite courses, thus you are free to take up philosophy courses as they are scheduled
  • If you start while still busy with your main degree (bachelor or master), there will be no additional costs.

A degree in philosophy is an excellent complement to any other degree. In this age of political uncertainty and rapidly advancing technologies, possessing philosophical knowledge and skills will be beneficial in solving problems in your field. In this programme, you will learn to express arguments clearly and to think critically and creatively.

Guided by dedicated lecturers, you will delve into various philosophical topics, ranging from the philosophy of the Enlightenment to post-modern continental philosophy and from ethics to philosophy of science.

Information Event

In our information event, we will clarify how an education in philosophy adds to all aspects of your study. We will  have a member of our academic staff giving a short introduction on the relationship between philosophy and other academic disciplines and the value added by conceptual orientation and moral evaluation.

Thereafter, he or she will explain the unique 90 ECTS structure of the Bachelor in Philosophy of a Specific Discipline to you.

Finally, one of our professional staff members will conclude by directly addressing the question of what philosophy might mean for your academic, professional and personal development, before inviting you to the Q&A.
