Welcome to the Fermolution!
The Fermolution is a revolutionary initiative that seeks to regenerate our relationships with food, land, culture, and each other by reviving fermentation.
Working with the Slow Food Youth Network (SFYN) and the Erasmus Sustainability Hub, this Graduation Project team aimed to embrace a practice that enhances flavours, reduces food waste through preservation, and strengthens community bonds. Through open fermentation workshops on the street to hosting a co-production workshop with 18 SFYN members, this group created a toolkit to spread the Fermolution concept to a global network.
Take a look at this Instagram post by the SYFN to see how this workshop was implemented by the SFYN across the world!
Group members included: Silvia Comè, Natalia Ramos Gaviria, Joost Dorgelo, Asma Lgamawi, and Jonas Brenninkmeijer.
Finance for the Future: Future Design and the Barriers to Long-term Value Creation in the Dutch Financial System
In collaboration with large Dutch banks as societal partners, this Graduation Project team co-designed a future design masterclass to identify the barriers for the financial system to create long-term value. Participants of future design sessions were encouraged to address and analyse their company’s contemporary policy through the lens of an imaginary future generation, by imagining that they were part of this future generation.
After the MA Societal Transitions, this group founded the ‘Future Design Institute - Netherlands’, an initiative dedicated to helping organisations establish long-term thinking in their work processes. More information about the Future Design Institute can be found here: Future Design Institute – Langetermijndenken én -doen voor een duurzame toekomst
Group members included: Rik Aardenburg, Tessa Dool, Stijn Kuijpers, Nino Lageweg, and Aniek Moonen
