Like all major institutions, advancing social equity and gender equality is a key aim for Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). To continue advancing these aims, on 21st November 2019, EUR will host the event: ‘Advancing Social Equity in Academia (ASEiA)”.

ASEiA will bring together thought leaders from business, government and academia who have successfully furthered social equity within their organisations; and to promote discussion on a range of important themes of social equity, minimising the gender gap and promoting innovation through diverse and inclusive environments.

Alongside, these key speakers, the Rector Magnificus of EUR, Rutger Engels and Chief Diversity Officer, Semiha Denktas will unveil EUR’s comprehensive policy to support the progression of female talent. An innovative approach that supports the long term sustainability and quality of EUR’ academic leadership.

ASEiA will underline the importance that diversity and inclusion have to EUR remaining as a top tier academic organisation as well as furthering its social impact. More importantly, however, it will elaborate on how members of our community and beyond can become enhancers of inclusiveness whether in academia, business, government or wider society.

EUR looks forward to welcoming you on 21st November at 15:00. The complete programme can be found below.
