If you read the news nowadays, the world seems to be on fire. Geopolitical developments follow each other so quickly that it is almost impossible to keep up! During this edition of the Current Affairs Lecture, professor of international relations Michal Onderco will help us in understanding the many drones and acts of sabotage we have seen across Europe lately.
In recent months, unidentified drones have been repeatedly sighted over airports and air bases across Europe. Other forms of interference also seem to be increasing across the continent, the explosion along a Polish railway line this week being a recent example. Who is doing this? For what reasons? And: Why does it seem so difficult to counter these acts of sabotage?
Michal Onderco is Professor of International Relations in the Department of Public Administration and Sociology at Erasmus School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He is an expert on foreign and security policy in Europe and beyond.
