Together with ESN-Rotterdam, we invite you to our monthly film night on campus. This time we will celebrate the release of the film Titanic 25 years ago and remember the tragic ending on 15 April 1912.
With a cast led by Oscar® winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the film is an action-packed epic romance set against the fateful maiden voyage of the "unsinkable" Titanic, at the time the largest moving object ever built. Titanic won a record 11 Academy Awards®
About the movie
April 1912, the Titanic will make its first and also its last voyage. One of the guests on board is the wealthy Rose Dewitt Bukater who falls in love with third-class passenger Jack Dawson. Their relationship will have to remain secret because the outside world will never accept this love. When treasure hunter Bill Paxton returns to the Titanic with a survivor in 1997, he rekindles history, and the historical love drama finally surfaces with it.
