Summary:
Adult-type diffuse gliomas are primary brain tumors, and two of the main subtypes are IDHmutant astrocytomas and IDH-wildtype glioblastomas. In this thesis, the efficacy of concurrent and adjuvant temozolomide was assessed in patients with IDH-mutant astrocytomas and IDH-wildtype glioblastomas that were included in the randomized open-label phase 3 CATNON trial. The prognostic and predictive effect of molecular markers in relation to the temozolomide treatment were assessed as well in patients with these glioma subtypes.
