Brief summary on the aim of the doctoral thesis:

The CAMK2 family consists of four proteins – alpha, beta, gamma and delta – that are highly conserved and all expressed in the brain. The amount of neuroscience research dedicated to each isotype follows this alphabetical order, with CAMK2A most extensively and CAMK2D least extensively studied. In this thesis, we provide new insight into the functioning and relevance of each CAMK2 isotype in the brain.
