Impact-driven education at EUR aims to foster a stronger connection between our students and our city. Neighborhood-based initiatives provide an excellent opportunity for students to address authentic concerns of citizens and engage in co-creation processes that can lead to a positive impact in the community.
π― What to Expect:
During this event we want to showcase a Neighborhood-Based Education Initiative at EUR: Werkplaats Crooswijk. Together with neighborhood stakeholders, economic and social challenges in Crooswijk have been identified. Students from ESSB and ESHPM have recently started working on addressing these topics, in an exciting journey. Nonetheless, there is ample room for other faculties and teachers to contribute and collaborate.
We will dive into key principles for collaboration with the neighborhood, identify lessons learned from setting up the partnership and explore together possibilities for designing exciting neighborhood-based education at EUR based on Crooswijk Challenges.
π Who Should Attend:
This community event is targeted at anyone who is curious about Neighborhood-Based Education, but especially for teachers who are interested in their students working with authentic challenges from Crooswijk for bachelor or masterβs courses, internships or theses. We will provide more details about these topics during the event.
π Date & Time: Thursday June 13th from 12:00 to 13:30 (lunch will be provided)
