As partnerships development manager at Figshare, Maria supports open science and responsible research by developing strategic relationships which bring Figshare data and institutional repositories to universities and research institutes across Southern and Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
A former academic librarian, Maria has been active in IFLA since 2004; from SIG convener and standing committee member to IFLA volunteer. In 2017 she helped set up the IFLA Evidence for Global and Disaster Health SIG. She contributes to the advisory board and co-organises webinars, satellite meetings and open sessions for the annual WLIC.

Margaret Sullivan is an assistant professor in the School of Information at Florida State University. Doctor Sullivan studies the impact of information access, health literacy, information literacy, and textual literacy have in affecting health and wellbeing. She is currently exploring the health information needs of people who inject drugs to learn how to provide them with better resources.
She has been on the advisory board for IFLA Evidence for Global and Disaster Health SIG for the past three years.
