Anja Pedersen

I am a graduate of the Royal School of Library and Information Science (1995), and I hold a Master of Culture and Communication (1998). I later added a certification in digital communication to my resume. I joined the University Library of Southern Denmark as a Librarian in 2006, and shortly afterwards the Citizen Science Knowledge Center. In addition to my primary job functions, I recently joined as member of the main board at the Trade Union of Librarians and culture workers. As a keen builder of bridges between information and knowledge and the public, I see great potential in working with Citizen Science - A perfect addition to any existing library programs. I currently live in Odense, Denmark (the birthplace of storyteller and author Hans Christian Andersen) with my husband (all 3 children have finally left home). When I’m not busy collaborating with public libraries and promoting SciStarter projects, you can find me fishing by the sea, reading, or pampering my cats and chickens.
