Pre-master Psychology of the Digital Media
Would you like to pursue a master's degree in Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, but do not meet the admission requirements? In collaboration with Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), the Open University (OU) offers a pre-master's programme that allows students, depending on their previous education, to enrol in the master's programme in Psychology at EUR.
The pre-master's programme provides access to the specialisations Work and Organisational Psychology, Brain and Cognition, Psychology of Learning and Performance, Health Psychology and Digital Interventions (only in English) and Psychology of the Digital Media (only in English). It is impossible to enter the master's programmes Digitalisation in Work and Society, Forensic & Legal Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Clinical Child and Youth Psychology via the pre-master's programme. You will then have to start with the bachelor Psychology.
Application procedure for the pre-master's programme in psychology at the Open University:
Application deadline: 31 July 2026. Applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will not be considered.
Step 1: Use the application form below to submit an application for admission to the Psychology Admissions Committee at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Please note: You can only apply if you have already graduated and have your HBO or WO diploma, a digital extract from DUO or a graduation certificate from your institution. Your application will not be processed if you have not yet graduated and/or cannot provide a graduation certificate.

If you are eligible for admission to the pre-master's programme, the Examination Board will issue an admission decision. The Examination Board needs six weeks to decide on the admission application.
Step 2: Register with the Open University for the pre-master's programme in psychology based on the admission decision you received from us.
