The Faculty of Philosophy has developed a unique programme for ambitious students who aim to broaden their academic horizon. Students who have finished the first year of another programme can start a second degree in Philosophy. After four years these students will have obtained two bachelor degrees.
A degree in philosophy is an excellent complement to any other degree. In the current age of uncertainty and rapidly advancing technologies knowledge of philosophical problems and skills remains relevant. This programme teaches the students to express arguments clearly and to think critically and creatively.
With this programme, the Faculty of Philosophy cooperates with other faculties of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The philosophy programme offers specific modules that are tailored to the main study programme of the student. The philosophy lectures and exams will be scheduled in the evening hours, because of which this programme can be combined conveniently with other programmes. All lectures are in English and are open to international students.
