Erasmus Education Fund ontvangt cheque van € 13400,51

A record number of 475 students, staff and alumni of Erasmus University Rotterdam raised a fantastic amount of € 13,400.51 for the Erasmus Education Fund during the latest edition of the Rotterdam Marathon on April 12.

Along with the study associations STAR, Cedo Nulli and In Duplo, Erasmus School of Economics and Rotterdam School of Management organized the Erasmus Charity Run in favor of the Erasmus Education Fund. The cheque was handed over to the Board of the Erasmus Education Fund during a festive presentation on Thursday, April 16th, in the presence of the Executive Board of the university.

It was the second time that the runners joined forces as one team and challenged each other during that Erasmus Charity Run. Most of the 300 students, 105 staff members, 25 alumni and 45 friends participated in the 10 km run, a few completed the marathon of 42,195 km.

Generous offer: Executive Board doubles the amount

The cheque was presented to the board members of the Erasmus Education Fund, Philip Hans Franses, Karen Maas and Herman Vaanholt. In the following speech of President Pauline van der Meer Mohr, she surprisingly announced that the Executive Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam was more than willing to double the amount.
