Higher position for Erasmus University in THE ranking

Erasmus Universiteit stijgt in THE-ranking

Erasmus University Rotterdam ranks 69 in the 2016-2017 Times Higher Education World University Ranking. This is a slight increase compared to position 71 in the previous edition of this important ranking. For the first time there are thirteen Dutch universities in the top 200 of the THE ranking.

The Times Higher Education World University Ranking is based on five 'Pillars': education, research, citations, industry income and international outlook. Erasmus University scores particularly well when it comes to citations, followed by international outlook and industry income. All the results on the website of Times Higher Education here.

Erasmus University is ranked 69th place (last edition: 71), the fourth Dutch university in the 2017 Times Higher Education World University Ranking. Delft University of Technology ranks highest (59), followed by University of Amsterdam (63) and WUR (65).

For the first time, there are thirteen Dutch universities in the top 200. Like last year, the Netherlands has eight universities in the top 100. After the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, the Netherlands is the best represented country.

On the recently published QS ranking Erasmus University ranks 144.
