Under the Civic Innovation Research Initiatve of the ISS, my PHD attemps to explore the trajectories and spaces of youth engagement with international development institutions, in terms of three complementary parameters:
Firstly the motivation(s) of youth to engage with these international institutions – as informed by their aspirations for change - and their evolution through subsequent engagements;
Secondly the practical influence that such engagement has in the perceived (by youth) capacity of youth to pursue the change or innovation they aspire to;
Thirdly, the influence that youth engagement with international institutions has in the evolution of youth’s civic identity and of their civic agency.
