In conversations with researchers involved in civic and participatory projects at EUR, we identified key gaps between the practical demands of engagement and the university’s current infrastructure and academic capacity.
These challenges include methodological hurdles, such as managing collaborative dynamics and working within traditional research hierarchies, as well as structural issues that require significant changes and new ways of recognizing engaged scholarship.
