Multipurpose educational building
Energy-neutral Sports Building
Prior to Campus in Development III, two phases had already been completed to make the campus more future-proof, sustainable and vibrant:
Campus in Development II, 2013–2017:
A pleasant place to study and work in a stimulating environment
During this phase, projects were carried out with a focus on meeting the needs of education and research. More facilities for students were also realised: small-scale teaching spaces, study areas, a modern library, shops, eateries, a bicycle repair shop and a park. Erasmus Plaza and the new car park were completed and various office buildings were renovated to meet new (sustainable) maintenance requirements and accommodation needs.
Modern University Library
The University Library building on campus Woudestein was renovated from 2015 to 2017 to prepare it for the future and to align it with current and future ways of studying and working. The library is now brighter, more spacious, more accessible and more organized: a stimulating environment for studying, collaborating and meeting others. It includes 900 well-equipped, modern study spaces and a new entrance at the Institutenlaan. More information
Campus in Development I: 2010 – 2013:
Working on the campus of tomorrow
During this period, the campus underwent major renovations and the foundations were laid for later innovations. Two clear axes were created. At the intersection of the axes, an attractive campus centre was built, featuring a grand café, theatre, food plaza, student accommodation, a pond and green spaces.
