Orientation and arrival

For International Students
International student arriving at train station

Starting your studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam means starting a new chapter in an international city. Once you have been admitted and secured a place in a study programme, your international student journey officially begins. Orientation and arrival covers all the practical and social steps that help you feel at home in Rotterdam and at the university.

Next to your faculty’s own introduction activities, the official Eurekaweek (EUR’s introduction week) and ESN's Introduction Days, the International Office offers a wide range of orientation and arrival support: practical information, webinars, workshops and an even an official International Welcome Day for all new international students.

Our aim is to ease your transition to your new hometown Rotterdam and help you settle in as smoothly as possible, from preparing your move to arranging everything after you arrive.
