Project submission

Procedure for arriving at a project plan

  1. Discuss the project idea with the intended owner of the project. It helps here to have already discussed your plans with some other students and/or teachers to argue why the project idea fits within the vision of the program or organization.
  2. If the owner decides that:
    1. the project is of value to the program(s) and or organization,
    2. the project fits within the vision and strategy of Erasmus MC and the EUR,
    3. there is room in the organization to support the project,
    4. the project has sufficient priority,
      1. then the project idea can be worked out in the “Project Proposal Format FOA”. The first three pages of the format must be fully completed for this purpose.
  3. The project plan is then discussed with the owner, and if the owner is satisfied, the owner submits the project to the dean.
  4. Projects should preferably be submitted to FOA@erasmusmc.nl by September 1, 2025.
  5. The vice dean will have the project plan reviewed for completeness and then seek the advice of the program directors, the Director of Research & Education and the managers of education. If the advice is positive, he then submits the project plan for advice to the Medicine and Research Masters program committees and the Joint Assembly, and in second round to the Joint Assembly (in Dutch: Medezeggenschap) for approval.
  6. Projects that go through the advisory and assent rounds successfully can start by January 1, 2026.

  • Submission of projects preferably by September 1, 2025.
  • In September, the pre-final version of the Faculty Education Agenda is presented for advice to the Medicine and Research Masters program committees and the Joint Assembly.
  • At the end of October/beginning of November, the final version of the Faculty Education Agenda will be offered for consent to the Joint Assembly.
  • January 1: start of the projects.
