On Thursday 12 April the Department of Media and Communication (ESHCC) is organising a College Talk on the topic of Entrepreneurship in the Entertainment Industry. The guests at this event are Erland Galjaard (Programme Director RTL) and Eelko van Kooten (founder of Spinnin Records, known for artists like Afrojack and Martin Garrix).

The event is organised in collaboration with Broadcast Magazine and invites students from (Research) Master Media Studies and the International Bachelor Communication and Media, but is also open to other interested students and employees of Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Guests

Erland Galjaard has been the Programme Director of the Dutch television channel RTL4 for 21 years. Next to his duties at RTL, Galjaard is working as a DJ together with producer Roland Molendijk. During this event he will talk about his experience in the music industry.

Eelko van Kooten was the owner of the (recently sold) dance label Spinnin Records. What is it like to work with big names such as Afrojack and Martin Garrix? And what are his experiences with the entertainment industry? During this College Talk he will share his entrepreneurial experiences and endeavours.

The interview will be led by Dutch actor Joost Koning. The floor will be open to the audience to ask questions.

Event details
