Student-of-the-Year Awards

The six finalists for the Student of the Year election have been announced! Alex Huang, Amran Mahamed, Hassnae Boubrik, Pim den Boon, Renee de Groot, and Süheyl Uyar & Tevfik Çiçek (sharing nomination) have been nominated and will hear on May 31 who will receive the award. These seven students were selected by the jury from 104 nominations submitted. The motivations for nominating these students vary, but what the finalists have in common is their commitment to helping others.

Starting May 11, votes can be cast via the Erasmus Magazine website. You will also find background stories about the nominees. During the show on May 31, additional live votes will decide the winner. So, join us and vote for your favorite nominee!

During the show we will get to know the nominees a little bit better, but we will also look back with:

• A mini lecture by Samira van Bohemen from the Erasmus Love Lab on sex and love in the past year.
• A performance by Erasmus student Rosann Kerckhaart, who reached the semifinals of The Voice van Vlaanderen.
• Live music by Erasmus Music Association.
• An EURvision Songcontest Performance.

All this will be hosted by David Boeren (SG) and Tessa Hofland (EM). Desiderius Erasmus will come to present the award.
