What does this study entail?

This programme will teach you how to apply scientifically validated knowledge and instrumentation to forensic problems. You will be able to better understand underlying neural, social and behavioural mechanisms of criminal behaviour, to help assess criminal irresponsibility and to treat criminals with a mental disorder. You will also learn how legal fact findings works, that is, how to evaluate criminal evidence.

Entry requirements postgraduate programme Healthcare Psychology (GZ-opleiding)

You meet the entry requirements for the postgraduate programme to become a healthcare psychologist (GZ-opleiding) in the Netherlands if you have completed the bachelor specialization Clinical Psychology and the master specialization in Forensic and Legal Psychology (including a 19 EC GZ-internship) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. If you completed a different bachelor, we will check on an individual basis whether you meet the GZ entry requirements. Please be aware that admission to the GZ postgraduate programme is selective and the programme is offered in Dutch only. There is no guarantee that after completing the master you will be admitted to the GZ programme. This is true for all clinical master specializations in the Netherlands.

The entry requirements for post-academic programmes differ from country to country and are subject to change. We do not guarantee that by completing our master program international students fulfil the entry requirements for such post-academic programmes in a country of their choice.
