Admission via colloquium doctum (CD)

If you wish to pursue a bachelor's program at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and do not hold a diploma that gives direct access to admission to this program, you can still become admissible after a positive assessment of partial certificates (CD).

Colloquium Doctum

If (before September 1 of the relevant academic year) you are 21 years of age or older and do not meet the admission requirements, you may be admitted to a university degree program pursuant to Art. 7.29 of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Act (WHW) if you have successfully completed the required certificates.

Partial certificates can be submitted until 1 August due to the processing time we need for the start of the academic year.

PLEASE NOTE For certain programs with Numerus Fixus/Selection programmes, a different date for registration and submission of certificates applies.

Namely Psychology and IBCOM, International Psychology, Criminology and Medicine. For these, we refer you to our website.

Procedure

  • You are eligible for admission through the colloquium doctum if you have obtained the required certificates in time. You are responsible for this yourself.
  • EUR does not have its own CD-tests. You must obtain the required certificates yourself, for example by obtaining vwo certificates through the State Examinations (Staatsexamens) (you can apply for these until December 31 preceding the academic year in which you wish to start). More information about the State Examinations can be found here and here.
  • Certificates can also be obtained through OMPT, Central Committees for Examinations CCVX and Boswell Beta (certificates of Boswell Beta are not accepted by the study medicine).
  • Information about the certificates required for each course can be found further down this page.
  • If after reading the website you still have questions about the required certificates or results, please contact the appropriate program.

If you wish to pursue a bachelor's program at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and do not hold a diploma that gives direct access to admission to this program, you can still become admissible after a positive assessment of partial certificates (CD).

  • To do so, send an email or fill in a contact form (see below how to contact the programme of your choice, preferably before April 1) containing:
    • Your EUR student number.
    • Any previous education;
    • A digital extract from the diploma registers of DUO, or a certified copy of the program from which you obtained the partial certificates.
  • Once it has been determined that you have the necessary (certified) certificates and are deemed admissible, you will be notified.
  • If you have also met the rest of the registration requirements in time, you can start the program.
