Erasmus of Rotterdam Research Centre

ERRC

The Erasmus of Rotterdam Research Centre (ERRC) is a platform established in 2020 dedicated to the study of Erasmus of Rotterdam (1469-1536) and the further development of the notion of Erasmian Values at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

ERRC stimulates and facilitates research related to the historical figure of Erasmus of Rotterdam and his relevance for present-day societal challenges, especially in relation to EUR’s Erasmian Values Programme.

Besides offering a home-based platform for the study of our university's name-giver, ERRC provides an academic environment for dealing with questions of professional integrity and values in a multidisciplinary way, thus giving philosophical body to the practices of students, employees and academic staff.

ERRC is hosted by Erasmus School of Philosophy (ESPhil) in co-operation with the Erasmus Collection at the Rotterdam Public Library.
