The European Charter and Code for Researchers

The European Commission has adopted a European Charter for Researchers and a Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. These two documents, addressed to researchers as well as to employers and funders in both the public and private sectors, are key elements in the European Union's policy to make research an attractive career, which is a vital feature of its strategy to stimulate economic and employment growth. Read more

The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)

The HR Strategy for Researchers supports research institutions and funding organisations in the implementation of the ‘Charter & Code’ in their policies and practices. The logo "HR Excellence in Research" will identify the institutions and organisations as providers and supporters of a stimulating and favourable working environment. Read more

Logo ‘HR Excellence in Research’ and EUR

Erasmus University Rotterdam endorses the principles of the European Charter for researchers and European Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers.

As part of our endorsement of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers, a project had been started with the aim of implementing the principles in the Charter and Code. Erasmus University has established an improvement plan based on the internal analysis.

Based on this improvement plan the European Commission awarded Erasmus University Rotterdam the HR Excellence in Research Logo in December 2014: 

The EUR is delighted with the recognition afforded it by the European Commission. To maintain the HR Excellence in Research Logo the EUR will continuously improve its goals and undergo the necessary internal and external reviews as prescribed by the European Commission.
