The Library acquired a substantial collection of books in the field of Health and Healthcare concerning stories and experiences of patients suffering from various different chronical disorders. This special collection Patient stories, contains more than 5,000 books - mostly in Dutch - originates from the Stichting CCC, and is taken over by the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM) early 2019.
Understanding life with a chronical disorder
These stories tell us how people deal with a physical or mental disorder. Much can be learned from that, not only by other patients and their relatives, but also by health professionals, policy makers and researchers.
