Booklick and Library, partnering to enrich Erasmus Educational Experience

The University Library of Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and Booklick (Colombia) join forces in a new international partnership to further foster community engaged learning and provide teachers and students with an innovative platform aimed to enrich the Erasmus Educational Experience during a pilot project which will start in the upcoming academic year.

Enriching the educational experience
All teachers enrich their courses with (digital) learning materials such as required readings. Trying to find a way to boost student-engagement and the effective use of library resources, the library got interested in Booklick due to their unique approach of Community Engaged Learning (all members learn from each other) with course literature. By providing a service and platform that enhances the learning process with dynamic access to content, Booklick seamlessly connects all library resources, knowledge and people.

About the project
The aim of the pilot is being able to connect through the library sources to boost student engagement, enrich (course) literature and increase the use of literature. In close collaboration with 15 teachers, Booklick will become an essential part of the course design. As Booklick is fully integrated in Canvas it provides the best experience for our academic community. Furthermore, a dashboard module is available to monitor the qualitative and quantitative use of the platform and its content. Collecting anonymous (!) data that can be used to evaluate the project.
