Important to know is that student housing in the Netherlands is not arranged for you by the university. This is your own responsibility. We strongly advise you to plan ahead and start looking at least 3 months before arrival. Most of our students find their student home on the private market.
But Erasmus University Rotterdam can offer limited rooms for the exchange Spring Semester 2025-2026.
We offer:
- Around 160 shared rooms at SSH (rental price per month between € 610– €850)
- SSH is one of the largest student housing providers in Rotterdam and offers rooms on and nearby campus. You will have a fully-furnished room but share the bathroom/toilet/kitchen with other students of the same gender. The rooms are located on or nearby campus.
- Fixed rental periods:
- 31 December 2025 – 15 May 2026
- 31 December 2025 – 29 July 2026**
- 4 February 2026 – 29 July 2026**
** Due to maintenance works the end date for rooms in the Hatta building will be around 30 June 2026. Exact date needs to be determined.
- 25 flatshare apartments at Tamboerstraat in Rotterdam Crooswijk neighbourhood. (rental price per month between € 850,- and € 1050,-)
- These stylish short-stay apartments are located in a lively yet peaceful neighbourhood. While you’ll enjoy a quiet living environment, the vibrant city centre of Rotterdam is just minutes away. Each apartment is fully furnished and shared with one or two other students. You will have your own private bedroom, while the living room, kitchen, and bathroom are shared. The Erasmus University campus is easily accessible by public transport – just a 20-minute tram ride.
