EMAN virtual event

As attention to environmental and sustainability issues continues to grow, environmental and sustainability management is becoming increasingly important as well. Proper accounting and financial management techniques can help support this, to the mutual benefit of both. The Environmental and Sustainability Management Accounting Network (EMAN) encourages good environmental and sustainability management accounting by businesses through annual conferences, the publishing of books and their website. Prof. Dr Karen Maas, Academic Director of Impact Centre Erasmus, has recently been elected as the new chairwomen of EMAN.

Due to the current circumstances, this year’s conference will take place online. World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and EMAN are proud to host a free one-day virtual event 16 September for the 24th EMAN Conference on Building resilience in a time of crisis: the role of sustainability leadership, accounting and reporting. Businesses’ and organizations’ ability to be resilient and adaptable is being put at a test across the world with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Now more than ever, it is crucial to draw from current and past lessons, share knowledge and new ideas to ensure sustainable continuity for businesses and research.
