Continuing master programmes for Bachelor Management of International Social Challenges

After graduating you receive a bachelor of Science in Public Administration degree. This degree provides you with an excellent foundation to pursue a master degree in Public Administration or a related field at Erasmus University Rotterdam or elsewhere.

At Erasmus University Rotterdam we offer various specialisations within the master programmes in Sociology and Public Administration that are perfect addition to the Management of International Social Challenges Bachelor programme.

Master tracks in Public Administration:

  • Governance and Management in the Public sector > This master programme is about managing complex societal challenges in the public sector and how to govern the networks of the actors involved in solving wicked problems.
     
  • Governance of Migration and Diversity - Public Administration > This master programme is a collaboration between Erasmus University Rotterdam (including the Institute for Social Studies in The Hague), Leiden University and Delft University of Technology and provides you with knowledge that enables you to address governance issues related to migration and diversity from a multidisciplinary perspective.
     
  • International Public Management and Policy > This master programme provides the tools for public policy-making and public management in an international context, focusing on international organizations like the EU and the UN.
     
  • Organisational Dynamics in the Digital Society > If you’re interested in how digital technologies might reshape how we work, organise, and govern, this new, multidisciplinary master programme is the right fit for you.
     
  • Urban Governance > This master programme is a collaboration with the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) and equips students with the skills and knowledge to analyse and manage urban governance issues and to develop innovative governance strategies.
     
  • Research Master Public Administration and Organisational Sciences > This two-year master programme (jointly offered with other Dutch Universities) focuses on key issues of Public Administration and Organisation Theory and prepares you for a PhD, a career in research, consultancy, government or the public sector at large.

  • Engaging Public Issues > This master programme doesn’t place one issue front and centre, but it provides you with the tools to navigate and broker public issues, to develop your own engagement with them and to intervene in them.

  • Research Master Sociology of Media, Culture and the Arts > This two-year master programme teaches you how social scientific research creates knowledge, and how you may design and carry out your own empirical research. You will explore the main lines of theoretical inquiry and contribute to the academic debate.
