The Living Room will be closed from July 1 through August 17. It will reopen during Eurekaweek, August 18 to 20, with the Living Room functioning as the Base Camp. The Living Room will then be closed again from August 21 to August 31.
The Living Room is a dedicated place for EUR students to relax, connect and focus on their wellbeing when they want to take a break from studying. Located on the ground floor of the Langeveld Building (just walk through the hallway behind the stairs), it's one of the places on campus that truly feels like home.
All EUR students are welcome, free of charge and no memberships required, whether they want to relax in a massage chair, play board games and pool, or simply unwind. The Living Room is open from Monday – Friday from 12.00 - 17.00h. For regular updates, follow our Instagram page: @eurlivingroom.

The focus on wellbeing
The Living Room is a place on campus accessible to all students, without exclusion, serving a diverse audience, reflecting the EUR community as it is. A host - a trained student - is always present to welcome students. The host can answer questions and lend a listening ear to talk about challenges students are facing. If needed, they can refer them to a fitting EUR support service. Everything students share with a host is kept confidential.
Besides being a chill place, the Living Room also hosts a variety of events focused on boosting students wellbeing and personal development and meeting other students. Activities range from art workshops and book club, to tote bag painting and yoga nidra. All activities are listed in the calendar on MyEUR and on our Instagram page: @eurlivingroom.
Next to the Living Room is the Personal Support Hub, where various EUR support services and activities related to personal development are being provided.
The Living Room Terrace
In addition to the (indoor) Living Room, students can head to the Living Room Terrace, located between the Langeveld and V building. If the weather allows and hosts are available, you’ll find blankets, cushions, and unique outdoor games every Wednesday and Friday from 12.00 - 17.00h.
The Living Room hosts
The Living Room is part of the Student Wellbeing Programme and the day-to-day business is run by students! In total we have 13 hosts, including four student assistants, who all make sure the Living Room always feels welcoming. You can recognize the hosts by their white Living Room T-shirt or hoodie!
