Universities of the Netherlands (UNL), working on behalf of all 14 Dutch public universities, signed a new Easy Access agreement (Dutch only) for the years 2026-2031 with Stichting UvO.
The Easy Access agreement governs the use of copyrighted materials for educational purposes.
Lecturers at Erasmus University Rotterdam can reuse up to 40 pages from a work, provided that this does not exceed 20% of the total work.
This 'reuse' has been prepaid for by the university and applies to both printed and digital material. The reuse of images in PowerPoint presentations is also covered. The registration of the reuse of texts in the Educational Resource Repository is obligatory.
