Defence ceremony information session

PhD candidates are advised to attend an information session regarding the practical aspects of the defence ceremony. At this session you will have the opportunity to test your presentation. You have to indicate this on registering for the session.

Contact with the media

A few weeks before you defend your PhD thesis, a university or faculty press officer will contact you to request material for a press release about your dissertation. The press release is published in the digital newsletter of the EUR and is stored in the digital press room. If you would like the press release to be sent to academic journals or your own press contacts, you can give the addresses to the staff members of the media relations department. For more information you can contact the employees of the EUR Press Briefing room at press@eur.nl or on tel. (010) 408 1216.

PhD candidates in Medicine and Health Sciences must send a summary of no more than 500 words with the outline of their thesis and their contact details to the Press Briefing team of the Erasmus MC: press@erasmusmc.nl. For more information you can call (010) 703 3289.
