Visiting Scholars

The Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity Initiative and its faculty members are extensively collaborating with academics from both the Erasmus University and external organizations. The collaboration with some of these external academics has been made official by assigning them as visiting scholars. 

  • Dr. Andria Naudé Fourie 

    Andria’s research focuses on multilateral development institutions, such as the World Bank and International Finance Corporation. She concentrates on the role of these institutions’ development-finance operations in realizing sustainable development; and on the institutional mechanisms established to ensure their accountability to internal and external stakeholders.

    “I have been fortunate to have lived and worked in many worlds – because it continues to shape my research. Having lived and worked in the ‘developed’ and ‘developing’ worlds, for instance, taught me the importance of understanding different contexts, as well as the interests, expectations, conceptions and cultures that characterize them. Having started my career in the fast-paced corporate world has instilled a deep appreciation for practice and its complexity. Having subsequently worked at the more rhythmic pace of the academic world has underscored the intrinsic value of making time to do the ‘deep work’ of conducting research. I am passionate about bringing these worlds closer together, through my research, as I believe they are prerequisites for ensuring inclusive prosperity.”

  • Bruno Roche

    Bruno Roche is the founder of the Economics of Mutuality, a new school of thought and a disruptive model for business performance designed to transform business at the core, restore reciprocal beneficial relationships among relevant stakeholders within society, the environment and the economy as a strategy to enhance performance and by doing so equip business to thrive by meeting the needs of the world.  

    Bruno joined the Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity Initiative as Senior Visiting Fellow in 2020 as a part of the Center for the Economics of Mutuality. In this role, Bruno is connecting this new initiative to other academic EoM’s Labs around the world and is sponsoring specific research topics (e.g., the redefinition of the role of property, development of best practices for SME businesses).

  • Dr. Araz Taeihagh

    Araz Taeihagh (DPhil, Oxon) is the Head of the Policy Systems Group at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Principal Investigator at the Centre for Trusted Internet and Community at the National University of Singapore. Taeihagh’s research interest is on socio-technical systems and the challenges that arise from the introduction of new technologies to society, focusing on: a) how to shape policies to accommodate new technologies and facilitate sustainable transitions; b) the effects of these new technologies on the policy process; and c) changing the way we design and analyse policies to address the interdependence and complexity of these systems. Araz has more than two decades of experience providing technical and policy consultations on environmental, transportation, energy, infrastructure, and technology related issues.

    Since 2021 Araz is a Visiting Associate Professor at the Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity Initiative. Taeihagh’s collaboration with DoIP is on governance of technology, smart cities, and risks, ethical and inclusivity challenges of disruptive technologies.

  • Dr. Jeroen Veldman

    Jeroen Veldman leads the Modern Corporation Project, a multistakeholder project on long-term value creation that was awarded the 2019 International Impactful Collaboration Award by the Academy Of Management Practice Theme Committee & International Theme Committees. He has published widely in journals including Human Relations, British Journal of Management, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Competition and Change, and European Business Law Review.

    Jeroen Veldman is Visiting Associate Professor at Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity Initiative, Visiting Associate Professor at Mines Paristech, Interdisciplinary Institute for Innovation, Paris and Section Editor Corporate Governance at the Journal of Business Ethics. He has worked with Prof. Liesbeth Enneking on a workshop and a Special Issue in the Erasmus Law Review on regulatory coherence for sustainable development for the Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity Initiative. As a part of his collaboration with the Initiative, he will organize a workshop on stakeholder inclusion with the Amsterdam Business School.
