Learn, connect, and contribute to the energy transition. ECET brings together students, professionals, and industry partners through educational programmes, learning communities, and the Erasmus Energy Club to develop the knowledge and skills needed for a sustainable future.

Programmes and Courses

The Erasmus Centre for Energy Transition (ECET) offers a variety of educational opportunities, connecting multidisciplinary research with practical application. We equip students and professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to lead the sustainable energy transition.

Learning Communities

The Erasmus Centre for Energy Transition (ECET) brings professionals together in learning communities to tackle the complex challenges of the energy transition. These challenges ask for a systems approach, where we need to combine different perspectives and multidisciplinary knowledge and skills. In our learning communities, professionals work together under the guidance of a facilitator on a shared challenge and can exchange knowledge and learn new skills. This approach focuses on informal learning and collaboration.

Currently, ECET works together in the AnchorED project with the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, Erasmus Centre for Urban, Port and Transport Economics, and the Port Industrial Complex to create learning communities that focus on developing and learning new knowledge and skills for the specific challenges faced by companies in the port.

Erasmus Energy Club

The Erasmus Energy Club is a student-driven initiative that connects students interested in the energy transition with industry stakeholders through consulting projects. The club provides a platform for students to deepen their understanding of energy systems, sustainability challenges, and the economic and technological dimensions of the transition.

Members gain insights into current developments in the energy sector and explore potential career paths in the field. The club also fosters collaboration across faculties at Erasmus University Rotterdam, encouraging interdisciplinary perspectives on complex energy challenges.

The Erasmus Energy Club serves as a gateway for students who want to actively engage with the energy transition while building connections within the academic and professional energy ecosystem.
