Biography
Anne Boring is an Associate Professor of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She also serves as the academic director of the Master's programme in Economics of Markets and Organisations within the Erasmus School of Economics. She is a research fellow at the Tinbergen Institute and an affiliated researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for the Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP) at Sciences Po, Paris.
Her primary fields of research are gender economics, personnel economics, and labour economics. Her research investigates labour market and organisational dynamics across three main areas:
- Individuals' career aspirations and trajectories: analysing how aspirations are formed, how they evolve, and how they align with actual labour market opportunities.
- HR strategies in firms and organisations: studying compensation policies and performance evaluations, and their relationship with organisational performance and equity.
- Public policies: evaluating programmes and interventions aimed at supporting career transitions and reducing inequalities in the labour market.
