Biography
My research focuses on healthcare management, health workforce management, and the evaluation of interventions aimed at improving healthcare delivery and workforce outcomes. I am particularly interested in understanding not only whether interventions are effective, but also why, for whom, and under which circumstances they work. My work draws on perspectives from the Health Services Management & Organisation (HSMO) research group and explores the mechanisms, contextual factors, and implementation processes that shape the effectiveness of management practices and organizational interventions in healthcare settings.
I am a PhD candidate at Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM), Erasmus University Rotterdam, supervised by Dr Yiannis Kyratsis and Dr Martijn Felder. My doctoral research examines the work, challenges, and professional development of middle-level nurse managers, with a particular focus on healthcare workforce management, sensemaking, and organizational processes in long-term and acute care settings.
