I am trained in Political Science, with a background in International Relations, Critical Peace and Conflict studies. I am interested in exploring issues on global governance with respect to peace and violent conflicts. So far my main research agenda is shaped by a number of topics in the broader areas of conflict transformation, state building, politics and peace building . I have mainly conducted field work in Sri Lanka. I am particularly interested in researching on methodological issues in peace and conflict studies.

My current research projects focus on European Union external interventions, Security Sector Reforms (SSR ), civil-military relations, war economies and post war transition and diaspora engagement in post-war rebuilding.
