Biography
Mara Fennema is a PhD candidate at the Erasmus Movez Lab, a research team with a shared interest in young people, digital media, and wellbeing. Her project focuses on how smartphone regulations at home impact the wellbeing of adolescents. Using a participatory approach, she actively involves adolescents and parents in the research process. Her goal is to develop an evidence-based toolbox of smartphone rules and guidelines to support adolescents’ digital resilience and well-being.
Mara holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Pedagogical Sciences from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
