Biography
Ying Chuck is a PhD candidate at the Erasmus Movez Lab, a research team with a shared interest in young people, digital media, and wellbeing. Her PhD project, MediaMovez, focuses on understanding, explaining, and empowering preadolescents' digital resilience. Throughout the project, Ying and her colleagues actively involve preadolescents in the research process to gain insights into their perspectives on their online world and what they need to foster their digital resilience. With these insights, we aim to contribute to the empowerment of children’s digital resilience, enabling them to thrive in today's digital media society.
Ying holds a bachelor’s degree in Pedagogical Sciences and a master’s degree in Child and Family Studies from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
