Marie van der Gaag’s research has focused on issues within academia, mainly in the fields of bureaucracy, autonomy and motivation. Combining educational topics with societal topics such as neoliberalism and new public management is a main point of interest.
Marie van der Gaag is a tutor in the field of Sociology at the Social and Behavioural Sciences department at EUC. She teaches courses such as Highlights of Sociology, Deviance and Individualisation & Globalisation.
