He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Leicester School of Management in the field of Science & Technology Studies (STS) in 2018, where he researched the dimension of haptics (the science of touch) in the production of archaeological knowledge. During this time, he taught extensively in the field of Critical Management Studies (CMS).
From 2018 onwards he gained extensive experience in the field of software development, working as a team coach and facilitator at various companies and for different projects, focusing on the socio-technical dimension of intense collaboration within and between multidisciplinary software development teams.
As of 2021 he is working as a postdoctoral researcher for the project ‘Image Recognition, Policy, and Society’ at the Department of Public Administration and Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He researches in what different ways the innovation of image recognition is (partially) adopted in (parts of) the organization, distinguishing between political, strategic, financial, technical, practical, and ethical dimensions.
