9 November 2016: Het Rotterdamsch Studenten Corps 1955

On Tuesday 9 November 2016, Erasmus School of Economics welcomed 12 Alumni of ‘Het Rotterdamsch Studenten Corps’ (Het RSC) at Campus Woudestein. The gentlemen arrived at our university in 1955. During this day they were able to enjoy the continuously developing, but beautiful campus. Our Dean, Philip Hans Franses, started the day off with a welcoming word, and invited the alumni to a lunch in Het Paviljoen. The gentlemen finished the day with a tour around our new campus, led by our Alumni Director, Charles Hermans. This, like other visits, included a presentation by Herman Gerritsen about the Dutch Foundation for the collection of economy related medals (Stichting Nederlands Economisch Penningkabinet) in the Erasmus Gallery, where a number of such medals are displayed.

30 March 2016: Annual Alumni Day: "Pave Your Way"

As each year the Erasmus School of Economics Alumni Day was held together with the World of Business. The day was full with interesting stories from various speakers. Highlight of the event was the EFR Business Week Award for Sigrid Kaag, for her outstanding performance and work at the United Nations and UNICEF.

Furthermore we had some interesting lessons from our Chief of Defense, General Tom Middendorp. Who gave us three wise lessons to pave our own way: listen to others, reflect on yourself and invest in friendship. It was again a successful alumni day and we hope that you pave your way to our next alumni event!
